Welcome to Second Hand Stories!  Here you will find information about some of the best (and maybe worst) thrift stores in Stockton, as well as some anecdotes about the experiences and notable finds there.  This blog was inspired by my increasing interest in all things affordable, vintage and unknown.  I enjoy finding strange and wonderful things on my trips to second hand stores, with the small ulterior motive of increasing my wardrobe and book collection.

I highly encourage you to share your own second hand stories, because there's always something new and different each time you step foot into a thrift store.  Whether it's the merchandise or the people, the experience is always changing and makes shopping much more than sitting in your room buying things from amazon, or buying one of five hundred identical t-shirts at a department store.  Thrift stores are giant hidden treasure chests that may or may not have exactly what you were looking for, but almost always have something you weren't (but end up really liking), which is part of the fun!

As a college student and descendant of many cheapskates, I hope to bring you a glimpse of my life as I delve more into the world of the second hand, the hand-me-downs, whichever anatomical euphemism for "used" that suits your fancy.  I'm very much a novice in this field, but I hope that you will learn something as you browse through my blog.  Perhaps you can teach me a thing or two about thrift stores!  I would appreciate the help.
